Art is ALIVE and living within each individual person WAITING to be broken FREE from their constraints and own self perceived 'personhood' and suffocating individuality. I.e. WE ARE ONE under the God Art handborn love virus.

DENY consumerism, smartphone life, car usage, and other forms of barely breathing chump gut moneymaking toils within the guise that is "normalcy"

Honest and BLATANT weirdness in general. Because, that's all we got.

With all of our writers we uphold the standard of strange, perverted, gross, genuine, and/or pieces that strike some sort of crazy thought or general discomfort but ultimate satisfaction in our readers. IF you feel compelled to write your guts out and aim for this bizarre cloudscape of style then we WELCOME you with open arms to join our creative collection.

Want to WRITE for RAKE?

In order to write an article, submit art, graphics, images, or ideas please send over a very basic pitch first so we are all on the same page before you spend hours working on something that can’t live in this magazine. A pitch good pitch should:

Introduce the general idea/article whatever
Explain what the piece is supposed to say/represent/connect to/why its important
Connect to our mission of raking out the artistic hearts of millions

Obviously if you are just sending over some doodles or something it's fine to not pitch, this is mostly for pieces that you anticipate taking up a lot of time/consideration.
